What to do in the event of an injury
The RICE method
Rest
allow yourself to rest and only move within your limit of pain
Ice
As soon as you can (20 minutes every two hours)
Compression
Firmly bandage the area to control swelling
Elevation
As much as possible elevate your injury above your heart to reduce swelling.
