Machine Pilates

PhysioFusion classes utilise a variety of equipment as opposed to classes mainly based on mats.
The individual attention and variety of exercises allows you to achieve results quicker.

Many of the injuries and disabilities today are in fact caused by our very modern machine-oriented society.
Hence using machines to help guard against these problems does make sense.

People tend to use their big muscles for everything, however strengthening the smaller muscles has many benefits.
Using machines to help you target the smaller muscles is important.

Stiffness is often a sign of weakness or injury. Often the body will compensate or try to protect an area making it stiff.

Pilates Bed
The Pilates Bed is an interesting device.

It has pulleys and a sliding bed you can lie on or in the image shown it is used for a hamstring stretch.
The Physio and Pilates Excercise Centre has 4 of these beds allowing small groups to work in unison.
The sturdy machines also have variable springs that can be quickly adjusted depending on the excercise and your level.
This bed allows for smoother safer routines that can target specific areas.

TRX Suspension Trainer

Equipment does not have to be expensive or bulky to produce greate results. Enjoy Gold Coast Pilates with a variety of equipment with expert physiotherapists supervising. Sally may set an exercise that works on your hip flexers using the TRX Suspension Trainer. The lack of stability whilst in supspension forces your core to work hard – similar to using a gym ball.
